The festival
Maha Shivaratri, on Magha Krishna Chaturdashi, is the great night of Shiva: fasting, four-prahara abhishekam, bilva leaves and all-night jagarana. In Telangana and Andhra, lakhs walk to Srisailam and Vemulawada.
