Not the calendar-picture cow. Ribs you can count from across the field. Hip bones standing out like stones. These are cows found abandoned by roadsides, pulled off slaughter transports, or left behind when they stopped giving milk. Every one of them reached Toopran in this condition, and every one of them was hungry before she was anything else.
The cows grazing under the mango trees elsewhere on this page arrived looking exactly like these. That change is not a miracle. It is fodder, water, medicine and months of patient care, paid for one day at a time. That is the whole of it. ₹299 buys one of those days.

We chose the word Yajnam deliberately. Kāmya is not meant to be another organisation that merely collects donations in the name of religion. It is our attempt to create a continuous offering of time, resources, skills, devotion and action toward a cause that deserves to endure.
Not for a year. Not for a generation. For as long as there are people willing to serve, cows who need protection, indigenous breeds that need preservation, and an Earth that needs care.
The Bhagavad Gītā reminds us that yajña is not merely a ritual before a sacred fire. It is a principle of reciprocity, responsibility and offering. It describes a cycle connecting yajña, rain, food and life: from offering comes nourishment, from nourishment comes life, and life creates the responsibility to give back.
We receive from the Earth. We receive from animals. We receive from society. What do we give back? Kāmya is our answer.
Yajña, dāna and tapas are not to be abandoned. They are to be performed.

We do not reject technology because it is technology, nor let it replace natural processes by default. Technology must serve the animal, with veterinary oversight, health screening and lineage documentation. Not the other way around.
